Newborn sessions are a wonderful way to capture those teeny toes, chubby cheeks and little lashes. Due to the Nature of Newborns you can expect sessions to potentially take 2-3 hours. This does not mean that there is 2-3 hours of Shooting time. Shooting time for newborns can be anywhere from 30 - 60 minutes. The additional time can be spent feeding, changing and comforting baby. Please bring a able bodied person with you to assist with the session. This person will assist the photographer in ensuring proper posing safety at all times. 

Newborn sessions include: 
choose up to 20 digital images for download in a gallery + a small photobook of chosen images. (8x8)
In Your Home Lifestyle Sessions only at this time if available based on scheduling

First Year Sessions Include: 

3 month, 6 month and 12 month sessions
30 - 40 min session each milestone session
Your choice of up to 8 digital images per session

What should I wear?
Pastels are great for Summer and Spring. Deep colours like Navy and Burgundy for Fall. I do not recommend harsh colours or patterns on shirts. These can cause colour casts and be distracting. Ensure that clothes fit well and are comfortable for the session you will be booking. Also remember to wear appropriate footwear for the session location of your choice.
Can I bring a friend? 
You most certainly can bring a friend if that makes you feel more comfortable. I often have an assistant with me as well to assist if anything should arise where I need to make use of a reflector or alternative light source. I also use assistants to carry additional props or materials for shoots. Just be sure to make note that you will have someone with you.
I have specific poses in mind
I do my best to utilize all suggestions brought forward. I do prefer to focus on ensuring that we have enough solid images for your gallery before attempting any creative or fun poses. If we have time I am more than happy to shoot any specific poses that you would like. Individual portrait session posing will be discussed in advance when planning the styling of your shoot.
What's your travel cost?
There is a fee of 25/hr for all sessions outside of Quesnel Limits.
What if it rains?
While we cannot control the weather I am always proactive in attempting to reschedule BEFORE the rain comes. If the forecast predicts rain and the weather looks not appealing I contact you no later than 1 hour prior to your session to discuss the weather and reschedule if needed.
A 50% non refundable retainer due is at the time of booking This retainer is to save the date and time for your session and ensures should you cancel that I am still compensated for my time and loss of another booking. Is my Session Refundable?
Sessions are non refundable. Only in the event of equipment failure, or the Photographer does not feel the images provider were to satisfaction will a Refund or Partial Refund be considered. When hiring Amanda Kirsh Photography it is in the understanding that you have viewed the provided work examples and are happy with the style and photography presented. If you are truly unhappy with your images Amanda Kirsh Photography will provide a partial refund provided no images have been downloaded. If the gallery is accepted and images download from ANY Session absolutely NO Refund will be granted.
Will I get more images?
Each session package will outline the number of images that you will receive in your package. Amanda Kirsh Photography will never provide Raw or Unedited images under any circumstance. Amanda Kirsh Photography has designed all packages to be best suited based on time and needs. If you feel that our packages do not suit your needs please reach out. We are happy to build you a custom package based on time, digital files and prints/products.

Why cant I just book a Mini Session whenever?
Mini sessions are designed to be of convenience to both myself and yourself (the client). Mini sessions will often be shorter sessions, with a smaller number of images at a lower price. Mini sessions will often also include a theme which would not normally be booked during a regular session. In turn these sessions often cost extra time and money to plan and purchase props. Mini sessions are also scheduled with back to back time slots to maximize time, location and set up needs for minis.
